A Relic Reborn (Omnilex)

North Shroud (X:30.2, Y:20.2)

    To obtain a Zenith Zodiac weapon, one must simply access the furnace near Gerolt and provide the necessary quantity of Thavnairian Mist. Although A Relic Reborn quest must be completed for each Zodiac Weapon, reaching the Zenith stage is a separate process. Raising the weapon to a Zenith Zodiac weapon only requires accessing the furnace near Gerolt with the required amount of Thavnairian Mist.

Steps:

1. Obtain a timeworn copy of the Omnilex from a treasure coffer in the Sapsa Spawning Grounds.
2. Deliver the timeworn copy of the Omnilex to Gerolt.
3. Deliver a materia-enhanced Erudite's Picatrix of Healing to Gerolt.
4. Examine the destination at the Weeping Saint and, as a scholar, use the Duty Finder to complete the trial "A Relic Reborn: The Chimera."
5. Deliver the Alumina Salts to Gerolt.
6. Speak with Rowena at Revenant's Toll.
7. Obtain an Amdapor Glyph by completing Amdapor Keep as a scholar.
8. Deliver the Amdapor glyph to Rowena.
9. Buy 1 Radz-at-Han Quenching Oil and 3 Thavnairian Mist from Auriana in Mor Dhona (22.7, 6.6), you will need them later in the next steps of the Zodiac Saga.
10. Deliver the copy of War of the Magi to Gerolt.
11. Slay Sapsa Shelfspine while equipped with the unfinished copy of the Omnilex.
12. Slay Sapsa Shelfclaw while equipped with the unfinished copy of the Omnilex.
13. Slay Sapsa Shelftooth while equipped with the unfinished copy of the Omnilex.
14. Speak with Gerolt.
15. Examine the destination outside Halatali and, with the unfinished copy of the Omnilex equipped, use the Duty Finder to complete the trial "A Relic Reborn: The Hydra."
16. Speak with Gerolt.
17. Give the unfinished copy of the Omnilex to Gerolt.
18. Obtain a White-Hot Ember in the Bowl of Embers (Hard) as a scholar.
19. Obtain a Howling Gale in The Howling Eye (Hard) as a scholar.
20. Obtain a chunk of Hyperfused Ore in The Navel (Hard) as a scholar.
21. Deliver the requested items to Gerolt.
22. Deliver a bottle of Radz-at-Han Quenching Oil to Gerolt.

No Quest (Zenith Weapon)

North Shroud (X:30.2, Y:20.2)

1. Use the Furnace near Gerolt to forge Zenith weapon using the Thavnarian Mist you bought before.

Nice and easy

Up in Arms (Atma Weapon)

North Shroudа(X:29.5, Y:19.6)

    If you are doing this part for the first time you'll have the quest  but the quest only needs to be completed once, for your first Atma Zodiac weapon; for each additional weapon you'll still need to acquire all Atmas, equip the Relic Weapon and talk to Jalzahn.

• Speak with Jalzahn.

Atmas have a random drop chance one so you'll have to farm and not get despaired of it.

Once you have the crystals, speak to Jalzahn and enhance your weapon to the next step.

If it is not your first time doing the Atma Zodiac weapon, Jalzahn will have a blue quest Kettle to the Mettle and untill you take this quest you will not be able to get an Atma weapon. You dont have to do the quest but you'll have to take it in order to continue the relic weapon progression.

Trials of the Braves (Animus Weapon)

North Shroudа(X:29.5, Y:19.6)

Having you'r relic weapon equipped is mandatory to progress.

    If you are doing your first Zodiac weapon - speak to Jalzahn - North Shroud (X:29.5, Y:19.6), and pick up the quest Trials of the Braves. He will send you to Mor Dhona.There, you will find G'jusana (X:22.9, Y:7.3) who sells Books for 100 Tomestones of Poetics each. You need nine Books (900 poetics) in total, and each Book has 19 tasks to finish. The tasks are different for each Book, but they are the same kind of activities for all Books. Make sure you have your Relic Weapon on when you do the tasks.

Each Book will ask you to do the following.

• Complete three Dungeons
• Defeat 10 different enemies, three times each in diffrent locations.
• Complete three FATEs
• Complete three Levequests

    G'jusana will only accept one Book at a time from you. You have to finish and return it before you can get a new one. Be careful not to buy a new Book before you complete the current one, or you will lose your progress.

Tips:

• Some FATEs have special conditions to appear, such as waiting for a certain time or doing something to trigger them. If you don't see the FATE you want for a long time, check if it has any requirements before you assume it's just bad luck.
• If you don't see the quest you want from the Levemette, you can try to get a different quest by completing some levequests in the same group. You might have to repeat this process a few times until you find the right one. Also make sure you didn't mistaken the levemette for grand company levemette or vice versa.

After all books are done:

• Buy 3 Superior Enchanted Ink from Auriana in Mor Dhona (22.7, 6.6)
• Go to Jalzahn - North Shroud (X:29.5, Y:19.6), peak with him an pick "Relic Weapon Atma Enhancement".

Celestial Radiance (Novus Weapon)

North Shroudа(X:29.5, Y:19.6)

Get the Celestial Radiance quest from Jalzahn in North Shroud (X:29.5, Y:19.6).

Celestial Radiance is a quest that you only complete once, so you can skip it if you already have another Zodiac weapon. Just follow the instructions from the NPCs. You will also need to buy 3 Superior Enchanted Ink from Auriana in Mor Dhona (X:22.7, Y:6.7) or you might have them already if you followed this guide step by step :)

After giving the Ink to Hubairtin in Central Thanalan (23, 13), you will get a Sphere Scroll, which is needed for the next step.

To enhance the Sphere Scroll, with materia, you will need to go through four stages of infusion. Each stage requires a different level of materia and an item called Alexandrite to fuse the materia to your weapon.

Alexandrite is a special material that you can gain in the following ways. You will need a total of 75 to complete this step.

• Treasure from Mysterious Maps (5 Alexandrite per map), which can be obtained from:
  • 'Morbid Motivation' daily quest — complete Duty Roulette: Level 50/60/70/80 Dungeon
    • This quest can be received from Brangwine in Mor Dhona (X:21.9, Y:6.7)
  • Purchase for 75 Tomestones of Poetics from Auriana in Mor Dhona (22.7, 6.6)

Another method is to obtain Alexandrite by:

• Complete Level 50 or below FATEs with your Relic Weapon equipped (1 Alexandrite per FATE)
• Purchase 1 Alexandrite for 50 Allied Seals from Hunt Billmaster in your Grand Company's Headquarters

The most efficient way is to get Mysterious Maps.

You can only slot maximum of 11 materia of one grade and type per tier. For instance, you can use 11 Quickarm Materia I for the first stage, but you will need Quickarm Materia II for the second stage, and so on.

You can choose any two stats to boost with materia, but you can only slot 44 materia of one stat and 31 materia of another stat in total. You don't have to stick to the same stat for all stages, and you can buy any cheap materia from the Market Board.

However, be aware that there is a risk of failing to infuse the materia to your weapon. The probability of success is shown below.

Relaxing tip:
If the materia melding fails, you won't lose your Alexandrite

After you are done this the scroll and it is fully melded, go to Jalzahn again and exhange your weapon and the scroll for a Novus Weapon.

Mmmmmm, Soulglazed Relics (Nexus Weapon)

North Shroudа(X:29.5, Y:19.6)

Take the one-time quest Mmmmmm, Soulglazed Relics from Jalzahn when ask him to soulgaze you'r weapon (if you are a paladin, dont forget to soulgaze the shield too).

Now you can get the energy, so called "Light" as you complete duties.

To upgrade your Novus to Nexus weapon, you need to collect 2000 Light points by completing duties. The amount of light points you get depends on the level of the duty. Higher-level duties like Crystal Tower raids give more light than lower-level ones like Sastasha. You can check the progress of your weapon by using the Zodiac Glass.

A good strategy for this step is to look for duties that have a bonus light reward. You can do this by running every ARR trial and seeing which one gives you the most light. If none of them have a bonus, you can run dungeons like Aurum Vale instead.

You can also use the Zodiac buddy plugin to find out which duties have a bonus light.

Wherefore Art Thou, Zodiac (Zodiac Braves Weapon)

North Shroudа(X:29.5, Y:19.6)

Speak to the Jalzahn and take the quest Wherefore Art Thou, Zodiac. For the second weapon there will be no quest, you can just go to Mor Dhona to take a 4 repeatable quests:

• A Ponze of Flesh

To get to the next quest you have to finish One Man's Trash first. You cant take this quest from Ealdwine in North Shroud (X:29.5, Y:19.7).

Acquire a Zodiac Scroll by gathering the following.

His Dark Materia

NPC Location:

After you have gathered a Book of Skylight, Zodum, Flawless Alexandrite, and a Zodiac Scroll, return to Jalzahn to finally upgrade your Nexus weapon to Zodiac status.

Rise and Shine (Zodiac Zeta Weapon)

North Shroudа(X:29.5, Y:19.6)

Next up, Rise and Shine quest you can take from Jalzahn - North Shroud (X:29.5, Y:19.6)

This step is similar to the step in which you gathered light points from before. However, this time you will need to infuse 12 different Mahatma with light. Each Mahatma will need 40 total light points, and they are named as follows.

1. Mahatma of the Ram
2. Mahatma of the Bull
3. Mahatma of the Twins
4. Mahatma of the Crab
5. Mahatma of the Lion
6. Mahatma of the Maiden
7. Mahatma of the Scales
8. Mahatma of the Scorpion
9. Mahatma of the Archer
10. Mahatma of the Goat
11. Mahatma of the Water-bearer
12. Mahatma of the Fish

You will need to purchase each Mahatma from Remon in Western La Noscea (34.3,31.7) for 50 Poetics, or 600 Poetics in total for all 12 Mahatma. They must be completed in the order listed above.

If you want to earn light points quickly, you can repeat the same strategy as before. The easiest way to finish this quest is to run Tam-Tara Deepcroft twice for each Mahatma. This dungeon gives you 24 light points per run, so you only need two runs to finish a Mahatma. You can speed up the process by going unsynced in an undersized party. However, I would still recommend doing extreme trials with or without the bonus light.

Also you can also do any of the duties like ARR FATEs, Trials, and Raids.

The final step of your Zodiac weapon quest is to talk to Jalzahn - North Shroud (X:29.5, Y:19.6) and choose Zodiac Weapon Awakening. You will see a brief cutscene, and then you will receive your Zodiac weapon. Congratulations!
